things i like

i have plenty of hobbies ranging from gaming, music, doodling to studying linguistics and translation

GAMING

ever since i was a kid i liked racing games, my first ever game being Trackmania: Nations Forever for the PC; i also played a lot of Need For Speed: Underground 2
i also had a PSP which had games like Sonic Rivals 2, Gran Tourismo, Flat Out: Head On, Jetpack Joyride and even GTA Vice City and Liberty City Stories
parents tell me i also had a Gameboy Advance SP that i threw into a barrel full of water but i don't remember anything about it
i also played a little on consoles like PS1, Xbox 360 (with Kinect), PS3
then my gaming phase died when my PSP got sold but later revived after i got a tablet which had lots of Angry Birds games, Bad Piggies, Fruit Ninja and others that i don't remember
in 2014 i got myself a laptop (which as of writing this im still using), i didn't play on it much because my dad's pc was simply better and i was trying to play Wii U games on it, which didn't go very smoothly
in 2016 i was in my mario phase and i played lots of mario games like Super Paper Mario; at the same time i had a Geometry Dash phase which also was my first introduction to the internet and it was horrible
on my birthday in 2019 i got my first Nintendo 3DS which i broke a few weeks later but i got a new one later, which still exists today and i play games like WarioWare Gold, Pokemon, Rhythm Heaven (very important), Miitopia, Tomodachi Life and many many others
after playing lots of Rhythm Heaven i've discovered how much i love rhythm games, and one faithful day in 2020 i've stumbled upon a comment under a Rhythm Heaven video which mentioned freestyling in rhythm games... i was instantly intrigued and consequentially discovered the existence of PaRappa the Rapper
after playing through the games i joined the community and it became my favorite place on the internet
thank you PaRappa community you're epic
in 2022 i got into Guitar Hero and it was pretty cool, though i didn't have a guitar so it was hard to play
in 2023 while looking through a list of PSP games in search of nostalgia i've stumbled upon Patapon, an army building rhythm RPG which seemed curious and so i gave it a try
the game was very addicting, i played through all the three games and decided to join the Patapon community, it didnt grow on me as much as the PaRappa community but it still was pleasant
as you can see i'm still in the Patapon phase, which is how this website is styled
some games i'd like to try in the future are Pop'n Music, Mojib-Ribbon, Fuser, Persona, Rain World, Spore, Ratatan

MUSIC

i never actually listened to music before massively getting into it in 2022 and the introduction of rock and metal music through Guitar Hero
i listened to lots of DragonForce, i had a massive phase regarding that band, i still sometimes listen to their songs because they're just so epically awesome
my focus later shifted to something more from my country, i've discovered a small ukrainian power metal band called Sunrise, and their music is actually good, i recommend, theyre quite underrated
nowadays my music interests have taken a turn towards Viktor Tsoy's and Kino's music: a soviet rock-post-punk-new-wave band in the 80-90's which were massively popular back in the day (currently listening to them as i write this)

LANGUAGES

despite me being a ukrainian who grew up in a ukrainian-russian language ambience, my english skills are considerably higher than most of my people's
i think it's caused by my introduction to the internet at a very young age
i also had to learn spanish for the few times i went on holiday to Spain
after discovering the topic of linguistics i realized that it may be my thing because i understand it relatively easy and it genuinely interests me, but what interested me the most was the translating part between languages
all the games i played didn't have a ukrainian language, and i've decided it would be my mission to become a translator at some large company and introduce the ukrainian language as a recognizable one in the videogame market, i think it's just missed potential
i've started volunteering translations at Crowdin and helped projects like Hypixel, which boosted my understanding and capability of translating and language relations
it's my dream job to become a videogame translator, if by any chance you're a game developer i would very very gladly translate your game into ukrainian or russian
